A moving portrait of Rosalind Franklin, one of the great scientists of the 20th century, and her fervid drive to map the contours of the DNA molecule. A chorus of physicists relives the chase and reveals the unsung achievements of this complex, trail-blazing woman.

Lucy Cashion is one of St. Louis’s most exciting and creative young theatre artists. Her Equally Represented Arts Theatre Company (ERA) is well-known for cutting edge works such as Trash Macbeth, Make Hamlet and The Residents of Craigslist. Now Lucy brings to our stage the world premiere Oedipus Apparatus, her original work inspired by Sophocles’ Oedipus Tyrannus. It is most definitely NOT the version of this classic tale you read in freshman English!

Our nameless hero has at long last completed his elaborate secret burrow. Far beneath the ground he is safe from the predators and danger that lurk everywhere above. Or is he? That noise he hears just beyond the edges of the burrow… what is it? Have they found him? Is it the sound of a terrible beast digging relentlessly towards him? Or is it something even worse?
Following their critically acclaimed inaugural performance of “The Dispute: A Spectacle for Lovers and Fighters” and their summer festival performance of “Fifty Shades of Phaedra” YoungLiars return with a slice of existential terror just in time for Halloween. The world premiere adaptation of Franz Kafka’s unfinished short story “Der Bau” will be performed below ground level in the hundred-year-old basement of the Centene Center for the Arts. “Burrow” is adapted and performed by Jeff Skoblow and directed by YL Producing Director Chuck Harper.
October 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 2016 | 8 p.m. | at the Centene Center for the Arts, Basement, 3547 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO

Lady Macbeth says, “What's done cannot be undone.” But can it be repurposed? Based on Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy, ERA's experimental production Trash Macbeth resuscitates meaning within a climate of destruction, reestablishes the societal norms of America’s most traditional era, and reframes the value of our revered Shakespeare, housewifery, and garbage.
Trash Macbeth is a full-length, theatrical production created by an ensemble of theatre artists with text from Shakespeare's Macbeth, Emily Post's Etiquette, the book of Revelations, Dr Benjamin Spock's Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care, and 1950's era advertisements.
We cordially invite you to the Macbeth’s residence for the dinner party of your life!
